Description: This event was the event of most of the members of the Continental Congress signing a document to England. This document was saying they wanted to part their ways and become independent.
Significance:
1. This event contributed to the expansion of liberty because, this prepared a way for the country of the US to become a place where people had the freedom to choose their own religion.
2. This event prepared a way for the bringing forth of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because as all of these men contradicted what others said not to do. They created a place where it was easy to create freedom of choosing their religion and creating their religion.
3. This event in fact did help the world and culture we live in today because we are now able to practice whatever religion that we choose because these men did create the Declaration of Indepence. It also gives us the celebration of the 4th of July.
