But her birth was not ordinary.

The moment she breathed her first breath, a strange stillness fell across the land. The snow—though it was midsummer—began to fall gently outside the birthing house, blanketing the world in white. In the distance, a flock of Siberian cranes, far from their migration path, circled overhead in a perfect spiral, their cries echoing through the frozen dawn.

The First Miracle
As the midwife held Anastasia in her arms, the room filled with a soft glow, like sunlight refracted through ice. The shadows of the other newborns stirred in their mothers' wombs—Nadia, Sasha, Zoya, Alexandr, and Sergey—all waiting their turn.

Outside, the snow did not melt. It obeyed her.

By the time all six were born—each two minutes apart—a crystalline island had risen on the nearby river, covered in ancient ice trees and strange, glowing structures that had not been there the day before.

The Girl Who Heard the World

That day, her black hole powers awakened. She nearly erased a mountainside before her brother Alexandr pulled her back with a single word: "Balance."

Becoming the Crane
By age 12, Anastasia could shift into a full crane—not a bird, but something divine: wings made of starlight and ice, a voice that calmed storms, eyes that saw across time.

She no longer saw herself as human or bird—but something between. A bridge, a keeper, a guardian of the balance between destruction and rebirth.

She now roams the edge of worlds, building sanctuaries, creating songs that shape the wind, and listening for echoes of the coming storm foretold in her dream.
