1 янв 1347 г. - Black Death begins spreading in Europe via Silk Road.
Описание:
The Black Death began in Central Asia and spread west via the Silk Road, reaching Italy by the mid-14th century through Mediterranean trade. Ships from Genoa and Venice brought infected rats and fleas with Yersinia pestis to England. The first case appeared in 1348 in Melcombe Regis, a key coastal town. From the coast, the plague spread inland via trade fairs, merchant routes, and migration. Pilgrims and priests also spread it across England, France, and Flanders.
