12 апр 1917 г. - Mustard Gas and Modern Artillery
Описание:
Mustard gas, first used in World War I, was a chemical weapon that caused severe blisters, lung damage, and blindness. It was deployed in trench warfare to incapacitate soldiers. Though often fatal, it primarily aimed to injure and demoralize. Its long-lasting effects led to bans under later international treaties.
Much more efficient than those used in the civil war. Advancements in technology have improved accuracy, range, and mobility. It is the reason we think of trenches in WW1, as they were not necessary in wartime until its invention.
