After refusing to sign up for the Vietnam War draft, Muhammad Ali, a renowned professional boxer, makes the statement, “Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go 10,000 miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on Brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs?” Ali ends up being convicted for his refusal and is:

1. Fined $10,000
2. Sentenced to 5 years in prison
3. Stripped of his heavyweight title
4. Suspended from boxing for 3 years

The Supreme Court ends up overturning the decision, ruling that moral and ethical reasoning were legitimate reasons for granting conscientious objector status.
