this gun being first designed by Yisrael Galili and Yakor Lior in the late 1960's was adopted and produced a few years later by Israel Military Industries and is manufactured by the same company. this Assault Rifle like most others is gas-operated and has a rotating bolt. fun fact Yisrael's real name is Yisrael Balashnikov only having one letter different to Mikhail Kalashnikov who created the AK-47 and he only changed his name to better suit his Jewish heritage and ironically borrowed many features from the AK
