agrees with the value obtained by astronomy (46 years), In addition, the construction time of Sneferu's pyramids imposes a reign around 45 years (Krauss: 1996, 43-50). Therefore, the duration of 24 years (TC) should be corrected to 44 years.

Sneferu, the first king of the fourth dynasty, was also the first to orient his pyramid rigorously according to the four cardinal points. As the east- west axis of this pyramid is the most precise, it must be assumed that this orientation was determined precisely by means of a high gnomon (probably one of the masts at the entrance to a solar temple).
