Since the Messiah was cut off in the middle of the last week which lasted 7 years (= 7x12 + 3 lunar months = 87x29.530588 days = 2569 days), the date indicating when he was cut off is the 1284th day (= 2569/2) because that day is half of this week. The date is therefore Friday 3 April 33 CE, which corresponds to the death of Jesus (14 Nisan 33).
