Descrição:

Gertoux, Gérard. A Dating of the Deluge is it Attainable?

[Not used for absolute dating as simply during the reign]

The Djer's plate mentions the oldest known heliacal rising of Sirius (around -2800) dated at the beginning of the flood (I Akhet 1) and the summer solstice.

...the coincidence between the beginning of the Nile’s flooding at the summer solstice (17 July) and the heliacal rising of Sirius was performed only at Buto in 2774 BCE (18 July). By chance there was also the heliacal rising of the new moon65 on I Akhet 1 (= 18 July). All these coincidences must have impressed the Egyptians.

EGYPTIAN CHRONOLOGY THROUGH ASTRONOMICALLY DATED SYNCHRONISMS
by Gerard Gertoux

As the double heliacal rising of Sirius and Venus on the Djer tablet is dated to the I Akhet [1] in the region of Buto, this event must be dated to 18 July 2774 BCE, corresponding to the year 14 of Djer.
