A bronze sculpture made by an Athenian man by the name of Myron between the years 460 and 450 BC. The work depicts a male athlete frozen in the pose of throwing the disc in his hand, capturing the qualities of harmony and balance. Over time it became one of the most iconic artworks of classical antiquity.
