Jan Purkyne (Purkinje)- Discovered the fibers in ccells (20 feb 1839 anni – 20 feb 1841 anni)

Purkyne was born on December 17, 178, in Libochovice Castle, Czech Republic. Purkyne's father died when he was six years old. This messed up the families plan for their three sons' education. Purkyne was luckily able to continue his education after elementary as a chaplain impressed with his intelligence taught him. Purkyne was an exceptional singer and was able to go to secondary school. He then joined an order but left in 1807. Purkyne worked as a tutor for aristocratic families while attending university.
Purkyne discovered the fibers in cells by studying the cells in the heart. He also discovered ways to diagnose eye disorderes and researched hearing disorders.
