Gallipoli Campaign (19 feb 1915 anni – 9 gen 1916 anni)

Descrizione:

This was an operation where the allied powers were trying to gain control of the Sea route from Europe and Russia. This campaign failed with a failed naval attack by the British and French and a failed invasion into the Gallipoli pennisula because of no knowledge of the terrain and the fierce Turkish force. This was a significant battle since it made route from the sea very difficult and if the allied powers ever wanted to travel they had to travel through land since the Turkish and their allies controlled the sea.
