After the Berlin Wall fell, the USSR fell because of the many countries it took over with its Iron fist by Communism. These countries started to make revolutions and create governments free of Communism which made the USSR weak since it mainly depended on the countries it ruled and its ideals of communism. Gorbachev ended the Soviet Union by creating economic and political reforms to ice the Cold War's tensions.
