Descrizione:
The first of several notable Persian Empires, founded by Cyrus the Great in 550 BC, it would last until 330 BC when it was finally conquered by Alexander the Great. The creation of the Achaemenid Empire also marked the end of the Babylonians as they were conquered and absorbed into the Empire. It was this Empire that fought the Greeks in the Persian Wars.
