The Mughal Dynasty ruled over northern India. Despite being a Muslim dynasty, the Mughals tolerated the majority-Hindu population and allowed them to practice their religion in peace. During the Mughal dynasty, trade within India and overseas flourished, allowing for India’s economy to flourish. The Mughals had a very successful economy, allowing them to build an extensive road system and support building public works. The Mughal Dynasty is important because it’s considered the last Golden Age of India. (4.1)
