Lord Byron was a British poet, politician, and leading figure in the Romantic movement. He is regarded as one of the greatest British poets and remains widely read and influential. Among his best-known works are the lengthy narrative poems Don Juan and Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. The notoriety of his sexual escapades is surpassed only by the brilliance of his writings. After leading an unconventional lifestyle and producing a massive amount of emotional literary works, Byron died at a young age in Greece pursuing romantic adventures of heroism.
