The period of time covered in the book of Helaman.The Book of Helaman was abridged by Mormon from records kept at the time. These records were kept, primarily, by two men.
1. Helaman II the son of Helaman I: his record is only in the first few chapters, though some of his preaching is inserted in later chapters.
2. Nephi I, the son of Helaman II: his record comprises the rest of the book.
