The Civil War is a war that erupted due to the fight over the moral issue of slavery, territorial expansion, and the election of Abraham Lincoln.
The historical impact of the Civil War is that the Union victory allowed for increased rights for African Americans along with the beginning of the Reconstruction Era to help rebuild America.
