Hans Gugelot was a renowned architect and industrial designer, he excelled in the design of furniture and products for Braun, and in his work as a teacher at the HfG design school in Ulm. During the next few years he worked with Max Bill until 1954. That same year he met Erwin Braun and embarked on an important collaboration in the design department of Braun, together with Dieter Rams and the "Interference Groups" of the HfG of Ulm. In Braun he helped create a concept and style of great visual identity based on functionalism and essentialism. The Braun appliances were designed in a distinctive style based on geometric shapes, a reduced color palette, and a complete absence of decoration.
