Baldassare was an Italian humanist during the Italian Rennaissance. He was most known for his book, "The Book of the Courtier". This book explored the realms of elite/nobility etiquette by established different characters who expressed their personal beliefs on societal norms. Different perspectives of it see it as a bash to the Catholic church and its power at the time.
