Nicolas Copernicus was a Renaissance-era mathematician and astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe, called the Heliocentric model. His theories were very much against Ptolemy's.He is apart of OS because he was an contributor to the Scientific Revolution and a greater insight towards the public in these centuries.
