Richelieu was the chief minister under the reign of King Louis XIII, and they both made decisions for the future of France, including the introduction of absolute monarchy. Both of these men formed the powerful country of France that it came to be by contributing to the arts, economy, and control of nobles and citizens. They are grouped in IS because their shaping of the French societal norms played a role in the success of their social groups, such as the nobles, and occasional tensions.
