Descrizione:

The Council of Trent was very significant because it reformed the catholic church. It was basically a meeting to discuss what could be done to reform the church. In the end, the council decided that both faith and good work were the key to salvation and that catholic beliefs were still the base of the church. This fits into the states and other institutes of power theme because it was a change/ revolt in religion and system of church and government even though it was still unable to reach an agreement to the protestant church.
