Interactions between regions- The Byzantine Empire primarily traded in the Mediterranean with their hub city being Constantinople. There was also trade that extended all through Eurasia and North Africa. Their main trading item was Silk. Long distance trading was important, especially for goods from the middle east. These goods included oil, ivory, perfumes, and more. There were a series of wars between the Byzantines and the Arab muslims. The Empire ended by a 100 year war between the Ottoman Turks.
