Highlights:

Abraham - the first Hebrew, God called him from Ur and made a covenant with him

Isaac - Abraham's child that was born in his old age according to the promise of the Lord. God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice Isaac.

Jacob - father of the 12 tribes of Israel. After an encounter with God, his name was changed to Israel.

Joseph - favorite son of Jacob, sold into slavery as a boy. God used him to save the family of Israel.
