He was a Greek mathematician, geographer, poet, astronomer, and music theorist. He was so good in these fields that the Greek ruler of Egypt brought him to Alexandria to tutor his son. He was also called Pentathlos by his colleagues, it means athlete who competes in five different events.
He was born in 276 B.C.
He died in 194 B.C.
