Description: Armed conflict between the Sahrawi Indigenous Polisaro front and Morocco and Mauritania after the withdrawal of Spain from the Spanish Sahara after the Madrid Accords. The conflict began with the Green March when Moroccan citizens marched into Western Sahara to establish a Moroccan presence. The conflict continued for 15 years until a ceasefire agreement between the Polisario front and Morocco in 1991 however a definitive settlement was not reached.
