Immigration act of 1924 was passed; it established a quota system based on where someone came from to restrict total number of immigrants into the United States. It was to expose the lie that the current system protected American labor. It however allowed the entry of criminals and the poor and overtook American employees. (Expression of Sentiments no.4)
