During the blip, The Punisher fully takes up the mantle of punishing criminals during a period of great instability, and worldwide chaos. He is protecting New York, however a new crime boss has been taking massive amounts of power, leaving scenes of great violence and gore against the innocents of the great city. He begins investigating to discover the culprit. While investigating, he runs into another vigilante who kills, Ronin (Hawkeye). They both have a great fight, with no clear winner but both heavily hurt. They both realise they are on the same side, and reconcile. Ronin opens up about losing his family, which resonates with Frank, creating an empathetic and sympathetic connection between the two. They both team up to find the culprit of these new gruesome murders. They discover that it is Jigsaw, since the blip he has consolidated power and become a violent crime boss. They both take him down. At the end of the show, they both go their own ways, but a mutual friendship and respect is born.
