Agricultural Revolution (29 dic 1000 anni a. C. – 29 dic 200 anni a. C.)

Descrizione:

Agricultural Revolution happened around 10,000 BCE, during the Neolithic era. This was when humans shifted from hunting and gathering to farming and domesticating animals. Farming led to a huge increase in population because people had a more reliable food source.

Humans started clearing forests to make space for farms, which changed landscapes. Soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, and changes in natural water flow were some major effects.

Two positive effects are steady food supply and civilizations grew and two negative effects are deforestation and social inequality.

Effects on plants & animals are
Plants: Wild plants were bred into crops like wheat and corn, making them bigger and easier to grow.
Animals: Some were domesticated (like cows, pigs, and sheep), but they also became dependent on humans and lost some wild traits.

Effects on Air, Water, & Land
Air: Farming led to more carbon emissions, especially with slash-and-burn techniques.

Water: Irrigation systems drained rivers and sometimes caused flooding.

Land: Overfarming caused soil depletion, making some areas unusable over time.
