字子正，北宋宜黄霍源村（今属江西）人。文学家、地理学家。曾在南唐时做过官，入宋后为平原主簿，是隋唐开科举以来抚州地区第一位进士。仕宦60余年，先后任过著作郎、太常博士、水部员外郎及舒州、商州等地的地方官。
