字絅公，号素庵。戈懋伦之子。康熙癸巳（1713年）恩科举人，雍正丁未（1727年）科进士。历官归安、开化、嵩县知县，陕州知州,河南、浙江乡试考官，翰林院编修、湖广道监察御史、刑科掌印给事中，以子源浩封朝议大夫、中宪大夫、太仆寺少卿。
