The D-Day Invasion happened on June 6, 1944, when Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France to fight the Nazis in World War II. It was a huge operation with over 150,000 soldiers from the U.S., Britain, Canada, and other countries. Even though it was really tough and a lot of people got hurt, the Allies won and started freeing Europe from Nazi control.
