William I or better known as Wilhelm I was the king of Prussia from 1661 until his death in 1688. He was also the emperor of Germany since the proclamation of the German empire in 1871 until his death in 1688. His Brother Fredrick William IV denied the German Crown when it was offered to him during Germany's revolution of 1848.
