Descrizione:

The Battle of Arginusae occurred during the Peloponnesian War occurred between Athens and Sparta in response to Sparta’s victory which had led Mytilene to be blockaded from Athens. This led to Athens assembling a fleet of inexperienced rowers and fighters, defeating the Spartan ships, leading the Athenians to a crucial win. However, the Athenian’s victory was cut short due to a storm that had prevented the surviving Athenians from rescuing shipwrecked sailors.
