Russo-Japanese War (8 feb 1904 anni – 5 sett 1905 anni)
Descrizione:
Russia broke a series of agreements with Japan which led to Japan launching a surprise offensive on a Russian port in Manchuria on February 8th, 1904. Russia entered the war arrogant which proved to be unjustified due to their repeated losses against the developing nation. These continued losses angered Russians and led to a revolt in the middle of the war. From losing their only major stronghold, Port Arthur, to a sizable fleet at Tsushima while also having to combat a revolt, Russia was forced to sue for peace, effectively surrendering on September 5th, 1905. This was Russia’s first major military failure and a turning point in the minds of their populace regarding the fortitude of their government.
