Known by the Federalists as the Traitor's War, those who fought for the Constitutionalist side referred to it as the "Righteous Rebellion". A reaction from some states which saw the encroachment of the federal government as an affront to the very purpose which the CSA served, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and Polk all tried to either secede or march on Richmond to try and enforce demands which would bring back slavery or allow for secession to be an ingrained right in the Confederate constitution. This did not play out.
