In June 2018, the command and control server of a malicious botnet known as the "Trik Spam Botnet" <a href="https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/trik-spam-botnet-leaks-43-million-email-addresses/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was misconfigured such that it exposed the email addresses of more than 43 million people</a>.
