First Moroccan Crisis (31 marzo 1905 anni – 7 apr 1906 anni)
Descrizione:
2) After Alsace-Lorraine, this was another time when Germany ttempted to interfere with France’s ground or sphere of political influence. France, not wanting to initiate conflict, but also defensive of its land of influence and pressured by Abdelaziz, supported that Germany was making a clear political attack toward France in the Conference of the Algericas (1906) called by President theodore Roosevelt who was obviously interested in upporting his ally’s ally: France. The conference distinguished Austrio-Hungary as the only supporter of Germany, rendering Russia, UK, US, Italy, and Spain with France. Even though Germany hoped to weaken the relations between UK and France, the 1st Moroccan crisis only strengthened that diplomatic relationship.
3) Had it not been for Germany’s compromise and the evident lack of true allies, this might have very well been the start of WW1. It is also natural however, that Russia might have not been able to mobilize right away as it was going through military reforms and was still recovering from the Russo-Japanese war
