War of Byomyla’s Succession 6230 - 6239 (1 gen 6230 anni – 1 gen 6239 anni)

Descrizione:

Byomyla’s children were all the bastards of Captain Jálith Diotolón. The Qi murdered Asil I, Diotolón, Byomyla and Chief Minister Bydden Dunnár (over several years) to keep this quiet, but Dunnár informed the Domras’ brother Telith before his death. Telith, then in Gana, raised his banners against the newly-crowned child Tolos II, defeating his forces twice and capturing Velyla, forcing the Tolosians to flee to Warden Darras’ (Qi Alinyi’s uncle) northern lordship of Hithon, where they continued the conflict and gathered forces to them.

Telith struggled to contend with the ongoing strife, unrest, rising Idosity and famine (as a result of the war). He died mysteriously on a ship back from celebrations in Imperyo, and upon news of this reaching the mainland the Tolosians marched on Velyla, whose forces splintered and allowed them in. Telith’s only child, his daughter Jaénya, was whisked out of the city by his Chief Minister Darran; in hiding and being pursued, she eventually reached the court of Warden Bryndos Súlenar in Prasconár, where she was granted safety and gathered her strength among the southern lords.

Meanwhile, the Tolosians were soon forced to deal with the same issues as Telith. Tolos II was betrothed to Haon, Lady of distant Er-Eire, a woman who was greatly distrusted. The Domras was murdered at their wedding, either by his uncle Martoth, Byomyla’s grandmother Relya (Qi of Tolos I), or Haon herself. His brother Mattás ascended the throne, under whose watch (though he had little control of government) the Idosites grew, and Chosen Idos was executed, leading to mass unrest; soon thereafter a plague swept the capital and killed the new Domras, leading his sister Véyela to ascend as Dovrama; she too lacked control of government, her mother the Qi being primarily in control.

Jaénya’s march north was delayed by the invasion of the Drûkii, who she assisted in defeating. Eventually, with the country turning on Véyela, Jaénya marched north, defeating the Tolosians again and capturing Velyla in a bloody attack. Véyela died in this battle under unclear circumstances.

The war left Neramylë in a desolate state, and the slow recovery led by Jaénya would be suddenly interrupted by northern invasions and the Great Collapse, in which she was killed.
