Showing great kindness and respect for his subjects in his rule, he was largely unwilling to curb the excesses of anyone who attempted to take advantage of his leniency. The beginning of his reign was marked by stability, as the noble elite of the Iorádhine nations remained loyal to him for the time being, and he was able to rule steadily through the first generation that passed under his reign.

However, in the later part of his reign, with most of the loyal nobility having passed away and their successors not respecting Adourynn as much as they did, he was unwilling to challenge the moves of the nobility to earn greater autonomy for themselves at the cost of his own authority over them.

While they did in fact remain loyal, the Iorináreth's growing decentralization hurt the prosperity of the realm as its welfare and the army's strength both became harder to maintain. Afraid that any of the Iorádhine nations would become disloyal should he mistreat their leaders, and being easily swayed in most matters, Adourynn spent much of the treasury in securing loyalties. His economic policies failed, and by the end of his reign he found himself with a nearly empty treasury, incapable of sustaining most expenses.

In the last years of his reign, his decentralized realm was unable to repel an invasion of Urmái from the north, with swathes of Esperia being lost to the Iorináreth, further damaging the credibility of his rule and destabilizing Iorádh.
He died being generally pitied by the elites of the Iorináreth, and disliked by the people for impoverishing and weakening Iorádh.
