Operation Rolling Thunder was the codename for a U.S. bombing campaign during the Vietnam War. The U.S. military attacked areas throughout North Vietnam. It’s intent was to put pressure on North Vietnam’s communist leaders. This event marked a massive increase in U.S. involvement in the war.
