Fascinated with the question of reality. According to him, a higher world of eternal and unchanging ideas or Forms has always existed and the objects we perceive with our senses are simply reflections of the ideal Forms.
Plato believed that individuals could not attain an ethical life unless they lived in a just and rational state.
