Qing Dynasty (China) (2 gen 1644 anni – 1 gen 1917 anni)
Descrizione:
The most populous country of its time and the 4th largest Empire in history, Qing Dynasty China was behemoth. The house of Aisin-Gioro would lead the Manchu to take power from Ming Dynasty China in the early 17th century. Nurhaci of the Great Jin would lay the foundations for later Manchu dominance across China, ultimately leading to the Qing Dynasty's rule.
The Qing dynasty would reach the peak of its power in the mid 18th century, when it expanded deeper into Asia.
Ultimately however due to a loss of prestige from defeats suffered by European powers and Japan, economic crises, a loss of confidence in the rulers of China and a sometimes impermeable conservative bureaucracy, the Qing dynasty would face numerous bloody rebellions which devastated China throughout the 19th century until they were overthrown by a republican revolt in 1912.
