Descrizione:
1 Kings 20:1-43; 2 Kings 6:24-33; 8:7-15
Ben-Hadad is known for battling against Ahab, king of Israel, and being captured. Ben-Hadad was released after Ahab struck a treaty with him, much to chagrin of a local prophet.
Ben-Hadad joined Ahab in an alliance against Shalmaneser III in the Battle of Qarqar in 853 BC.
Later on, Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, and Ahab allied against Ben-Hadad, leading to the death of Ahab in battle.
Ben-Hadad fell ill and sent Hazael to Elijah to inquire about his disease. Elisha told him that the king would not die from the disease, but would die by the hand of Hazael. Ben-Hadad was eventually suffocated to death by Hazael.
