Soon after Disney's purchase, EA would be given the rights to make games for the IP. Many consider this a dark age, as Battlefront (2015) released with less than 50% of the features of the 2005 title it gets its name from. Furthermore the release of Battlefront II (2017) was disastrous, having such aggressive monetization that it was banned in multiple countries and Disney demanded they pull all microtransactions until a better method is found. None of the games in this era are bad per say, they just had at best somewhat disappointing launches or at worst worldwide disgust for highly aggressive monetization.
