-King Connerad steps down and appoints Dagnabbet as his successor. King Emmerus Warcrown also steps down from Felbarr and appoints Parson Glaive his successor. They join Bruenor for his march on Gauntlgrym. They gather thousands of dwarves and magical allies on the way.

-Catti-brie now wields a ring of elemental power, and a staff of the magi

-Drizzt is mortally wounded by Doum-wielle, she is magically sent to the Spine of the World and Jarlaxle is given her sword Khazid'hea to wield. He uses his Wand of Goo to attach Drizzt to a wall, sealing his wounds and making time for the companions to find him and bring him back to the dwarven encampment, where he remains in a coma.

-King Connerad is killed in the first assault, along with hundreds of dwarves.

-Jarlaxle has Kimmuriel heal and awaken Drizzt, and release Guenhwyvar, they appear in a psionic vortex to battle the powerful demon generals.

-Gromph unintentionally summons Demogorgon, Prince of Demons, by weakening the walls of Faerzress at his tower in Menzoberranzan, it rampages.
