John Locke was a philosopher born in the UK in 1632 and was killed in 1704. Locke was famous for his views regarding the government's obligations to its citizens. John Locke believed that the government can only have limited power over it's citizens and can ultimately be overhtorwn by its people. John Locke was responsible for the development of empiricism, he became the founder of the British empiricism.
