ARES III & IV (1 gen 2077 anni – 1 dic 2089 anni)

The joint missions of Ares 3 and 4 were a decade long mission continuing on from the lessons learned in Ares II. Ares III extended it's scope well beyond the accomplishments of it's predecessors, lasting over 12 unbroken years before a safe crew return. The mission objective of both Ares III and IV was the establishment of the first permanent Martian structures, with the workers of the missions working in tandem with AMI's remote mining/construction drones to construct two massive pressurized and radiation proof domes . Construction would be long and arduous, but the two crews of 20 would prove themselves more than capable of completing their goal.

It was almost with disbelief that humanity began to recognize that they really were capable of becoming a multi-planetary species as they had dreamed for centuries.

A year before mission end, two astronaut's announced via livestream to earth that they were expecting a child, and on Febuary 27 2069 the first human born on another world came into being.

With the completion of the dual Ares III and IV missions in 2069, many of the astronauts who had come to enjoy their new lives on mars chose to remain in the habitats they had created for themselves, intending to spend the rest of their entire lives on mars.
