The french people who rejected the Vichy government and the Nazi’s created the french There were two groups of the resistance one was called the Maquis and they aimed to hurt/kill the German people, who invaded their country. Charles de Gaulle encouraged the French people to continue the fight, he formed his own aid for the resistance because he disagreed with allied British ways. (1940) British Special Operations Executive began infiltrating into France beginning in May 1941 to aid the resistance groups. By 1941 the French Resistance was more orderly and strong, this fusterated the Germans.
